Our MissionPAMA is dedicated to providing its members with the business tools, resources and education to professionally and successfully deliver convenient automotive oil changes and other preventive maintenance services. History of PAMAThe Preventative Automotive Maintenance Association (previously Automotive Oil Change Association) is a non-profit trade organization representing the convenient automotive service industry. The association was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Sacramento, California. PAMA is dedicated to enhancing the competency of fast lube owners, educating the public about the benefits of preventive automotive maintenance and maintaining a favorable business environment for the industry. PAMA members adhere to a Code of Ethics and a Standard of Service Excellence. Members provide "Professional Service at YOUR Convenience" to the motoring public, helping to extend the life and safety factors of their motor vehicles through quality maintenance. A Commitment to EducationEmphasizing education, the PAMA provides expert technical training for lube center employees. For business owners and managers, the organization provides programs to enhance management skills, automotive engineering and industry issues. The Association also serves as a resource for consumers regarding the benefits of regular, preventive maintenance in protecting their automotive investment. PAMA: The Industry LeaderIn addition, PAMA provides counsel on regulatory issues, represents the industry on Capitol Hill, and develops research data on the convenient auto service market. The association also makes available a wide variety of business products and services to help members improve business operations. PAMA accounts for over 4,500 auto maintenance centers throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and many other countries around the world. What made PAMA the industry leader? The answer is simple. Internet/Web Privacy PolicyThe Preventative Automotive Maintenance Association respects your privacy. The only information that we collect about you on the Internet/World Wide Web is that which you choose to submit to us, either through a membership form, by registering for a conference, or through other interactive forms. You may request not to receive information via email or to be listed in our on-line roster. General visitors to PAMA Web sites - The Preventative Automotive Maintenance Association collects personal information, such as e-mail addresses, names or mailing addresses only when individual web site visitors choose to submit such information to us. Aggregate statistics are gathered on general web site traffic patterns. E-mail addresses may be retained to enable contacting you in the future. We do not distribute e-mail addresses. Purchases from the Web Site - When you apply for membership, register for a conference, or purchase any other product or service from the Preventative Automotive Maintenance Association at www.automaintenance.org, we must collect shipping and billing name, address, phone, credit card information, and your email address to process your order. The e-mail address is used to enable sending you a receipt and to enable us to contact you in event of a problem. That information is accepted using industry-standard Secure Socket Layer encryption to ensure credit card and order information security. We use an outside service to process credit cards. Your credit card information is never stored on computer servers owned or operated on behalf of the Preventative Automotive Maintenance Association. Any post-purchase transactions such as adjustments or refunds are processed using the same security system as for purchases.
